Candid Captures with LOVE (PhotoWalk)

This month’s theme is love! 

We will be meeting at Milwaukee’s very own LOVE sculpture on the east terrace of the Milwaukee Art Museum and then adventure on from there.

A photo walk is a social event where a group of people get together to literally take a walk and snap photos. They are for all experience levels, last 1-3 hours, and are done entirely on foot.

There is no goal of a photo walk other than to just get some fresh air, take some photos, and hang out with some cool folx for an afternoon. Sometimes there may be a theme, but you get to make this into whatever you want! Notice what catches your attention. Notice something you've never noticed before. There is no right or wrong way to do this. This is an opportunity to explore and experiment with how creative we can be with our cameras.

What you will need: - A camera. Any camera, as long as you are proficient using it. You don’t want to be fussing over camera settings. Even a phone camera will do! - A lightly packed bag. Don’t weigh yourself down with gear that may distract you. If you have a DSLR or mirrorless camera, try bringing just one lens. If you’re feeling up to it, bring the lens you use the least! - A light snack, and something to drink. - An open mind. Trust that the experience will unfold beautifully without having to search for “the perfect shot”.
